I'd say things are getting pretty serious

Well, today is Marth 24... nearly three full months into the year already! Man, time flies when you're too busy. Uhm, so far I've lost back down to 155 lbs... so that means I've lost about 10 lbs since I seriously started trying in february. I still have 10 MORE lbs to go, and I think the next 10 will take a while longer to lose. Me and a friend have started an all salad diet. I SAY all salad, but there are exceptions... such as free meals. IF someone, like my parents, offer to buy me food, there is NO WAY I'll turn it down, no matter what restaurant we're eating at. I'm getting pretty serious into my training phase now. I've been cycling at the Y at least 3 nights a week, and I rode 50 miles on my bike this past Sunday... but I still have a ways to go to get back into the shape that I was in last summer, but if Sunday was any indication, I'd say that I'll have no problem at all with the 5 or so 100 mile rides that I've got planned to participate in this year.

My buddies Jason and Josh and myself have decided to go to Europe in May, so we have been working pretty hard to get our stuff together ( tickets, money, passports, etc. ). We are planning to put on a huge scavenger hunt to help raise money, but we still have a lot of work there so far as advertising it and signing up teams. Hopefully we'll get at least the minimum 6 teams that we'll need to make the venture worthwhile.

Well, thats all for now... except to say that I have a new female interest whom I am going to try to pursue now... so we'll see how THAT goes...

Living the American Dream

I like taking a late lunch. Its not that I like to wait an extra hour or so to eat, not at all. If it were possible I might would even take my lunch an hour early if were convenient or permitted. Anyways, I like to take my lunch late because its almost like getting a double lunch break! If everyone ELSE takes their lunch at 12 noon and I take my lunch at 1 or so, I end up getting the first hour to sit and do NOTHING while everyone is gone, THEN I get to leave and do nothing ELSE for another hour! Its a great feeling to know that I'm incredibly lazy and just don't care. Its almost the same feeling that I get when I take a huge SLAM at work. It gives me a great feeling os self-worth and accomplishment to know that I'm actually getting paid to take a dump... one of the more disgusting and reviling things that one CAN do... and I actually am getting PAID to do it. Man, I'm living the American Dream!

Back in the Saddle Again

Well, its been a while but I'm back online and rarin' to go. Since I've posted last I've:

1) Moved into a new house. The house in owned by the father of a friend of mine. I am staying at the house for free while I do some sorely needed repaires such as repainting, replacing rotten floors, laying carpet, replacing trim, etc. etc.

2) Started taking cycling classes pretty hardcore. I go at least 3 times a week, if not more, depending on my schedule. I've decided that as part of my new year's resolutions that I am going to ride in four to five 100 mile rides, so, in order to get into that sort of shape, I am going to ride as much as possible. Once the time changes it is my intention to ride every afternoon after work for about an hour then to go to cycling class at the Y after that IF I have time.

3) I bought a new vehicle... undoubtably the COOLEST thing I've ever seen. Its a 66 International Harvester Scout and its practically brand new from the floor up. I bought it on Ebay of all places, not that I've ever done THAT before! Its a rock crawler, though I'll probably neer use it for that purpose... I moslty bought this to show and for the occasional romp through the countryside or camping trip. It'll pretty much go anywhere, so long as I don't kill it by throwing the clutch to early or forgetting to drop gears when I slow down. Now I have to build a new shed or something because I'm not about to let it sit out in the rain and blinding sun and rot!
